Together with the Support Staff union at Fleming College (Local 351), we will be running a ‘Tampon Tuesday’ event in honour of the upcoming International Women’s Day.
To support this initiative, as well as our other Fleming communities, donation bins will be set up to collect women’s menstrual products for local food banks in Haliburton, Lindsay and Peterborough, as well as support our Fleming Food Banks.
At Frost and Sutherland, two bins will be available: one in the Staff Lounge (staff donations) and one in the Library (for student donations). Haliburton will place their donation bin in the Reception area.
Menstrual Hygiene Products are one of the MOST REQUESTED yet LEAST DONATED items at Food Banks.
